The day before before power

suddenly thought again how i screwed up one of my subject this semester... haiyh...
oh nvm that, i'll guess i just have to retake the whole subject... no pre-requisites for it so i wont feel so bad... anyway, i'm not reali going into that right now...

i wanna talk about the day before before that!

during that very day, chia haw sent me a link thru msn for news on star online that there is going to be a visible meteor shower from 1am - 4am... and everytime i open google's homepage, i can see that even google highlighted the event. u can see lots of falling stars along with the word google on the homepage during that time.

well, if u didnt know, i actually have quite an interest for this small small things... hahaha... from solar eclipse to lunar eclipse and to meteor showers. i want to see them with my own eyes! but no matter how, i would always fail miserably...

i could still remember, during the forecast of the lunar eclipse, i went to inti that night to get a nice view. what better location than the top of the building on top of a mountain. i went there with the excuse of wanting to study but turned on my timer for every 5 mins. every 5 mins, my alarm would ring and i will take a good look at the sky... hoping to see the moon covered up by the earth's shadow... the view that i expected was a bright moon with a mass of darkness in the middle....

but in the end... that night was no different then any other night.... i didnt see any eclipse nor anything like it... i see clouds covering it nia...

Then came the solar eclipse forecast. in Malaysia, its raining and cloudy all day long... i couldnt even see the sun in the first place. well, they did say in malaysia we wont get to see much for from our view, the sun will only be covered 8%... a big let down...

ahh.. i digressed... the most recent one was the so called perseid meteor shower. some comet named swift turtle was suppose to come quite close to earth and breaking up bit by bit... these little bits will then collide with our atmosphere and burn up... we're suppose to be able to see these little sparks as meteor showers...

i expected to see this.

but to my dismay.... from 1am to 4 am.... i only see this.....

it was all pitch blaccccckkkk!!
well, i did see something. a smmmmmall tiny bit la... i dont know if its my imagination but i did see a few strands of white threads TWICE... but neither of it lasted for even 2 secs so i'm not 100% sure... and must stare very long only can see...(i think i can see more if i stare at my dad's head) that time i saw it was barely 1 am... it was juz 12 sumthing...

i remember i went to see at about 10 then decided to rest abit n wake up at 12.30 to go watch the sky again... i had an early wake-up call and went straight outside to see at about 12.15am... i spent quite a while lying on the back of my mum's car while watching the sky... (my neck hurts after a while looking straight up while standing.so muz find comfortable position.)


so far there isnt anything to be proud of but atleast i tried. for that i'm pretty satisfied. but one day i will surely have a good look at it... I SHALL see it with my own eyes.

or is it like how cousin says it,

"Aiyaa, lidat u wont see wan laar.. without the right person beside u, u wont see anything!"

i was sitting something like this if u asked how do u sit ON my mum's wira.
n yes, almost everyone that passed by stared at me.
but i couldnt care less.... ahaha.

history repeats...

was suppose to fetch my cousin from the airport.
she just came back from langkawi, so as usual, i'm the one who always have nothing to do at home.
well, all was good until i reached the airport.

i can see one policeman having the time of his life, writing tickets for all those parking on the yellow line... well, its not my car so it doesnt concern me... i simply went ahead. and because i wanted to spare RM2(and the saman), i parked somewhere infront and called rosalyn to give me a miss call when she's out then i'll make 1 round back to the airport.

about 10 minutes later, she called and i started to make my little round. as i was driving back, there was a police check at one of the road. i didnt reali bother as normally i juz drive pass them. i was confident i didnt do anything wrong so i couldnt careless. or so, thats what i thought.

out of the crowd of about 10 cars, they called me to pull to the corner. surprised, i juz did what i was told... our conversation went something like this.

Me : Bang, ada apa masalah?
Mr policeman : adik, u ada lesen tak? Cukup umur untuk memandu?
Me : (ish!) Adaaaaa.... mesti la ada... (while digging for my pocket for my wallet)
Mr policeman : i nak tengok lesen dan ic

at this point i can see another car called to stop at the side. i was like....

"hah, atleast i'm not the only one."

Me : nah! Ini I.C. and ini lesen. Sudah CDL juga abang.
Mr policeman : (looks for a while.....) . . .

at this point the car BEHIND me already continue on his journey.... and u can see like another 10-15 cars passed by without any problem...

Mr policeman : adik... tunggu sat ya, kami nak check database dulu.
Me : huh? swt......

15 minutes later....

Mr policeman : oh, u punya ori. ok, u boleh pergi sekarang.

when i finally reached the air port....
Rosalyn: wat took u so long?
Me : LOOOONG STORY..... i'll tell u on the journey back...


told her the story and yes... she laughed like crazy... n this isnt the 1st time... this happend to me on bike oso....

hmph! the policeman is just jealous of my youth.

wah... i must reali learn to look more adult-ish... nvm... like how i always comfort myself, when i'm 50 years old, i'll look like i'm at my 30's... Hahaha...

on my way back, from airport, i nearly made so many wrong turnings... i have terrible sense of direction.... i nearly turned to Teluk Kumbar area.... and also Relau area... wah... too blurr d...

belated post of birthdays, rush week n bon odori

time for an update. i havent had a proper update for a very long time.
n i'm gonna be talking about stuff that happend nearly 2 weeks ago.

from wat i can recall, it was a saturaday. on the night before, jes called to invite me for her birthday party. wah, was actually pretty shocked but agreed to go anyway. i've known her since i was standard 1.(wah... its been nearly 11 years) one of my super long friends. haha!

me, chuin, chen, jes, racheal yan yee daphne(i think..) and sherilyn.
plus jon who's behind the camera.

all of us gathered at Awana -something-... i cant remember names properly. its near penang swimming club. was actually suppose to drive, fetching chuin n chen but we all ended up following easaw. he drove the black perdana... quite an exciting journey. a perdana can reali accelerate well. the highlight of the journey was how easaw likes the panic look on our faces and how we didnt listen to sook chen when we're suppose to and when we listened to her when we're not suppose to... hahhaa... pretty exciting ride. wouldnt be as thrilling if it was me driving. glad easaw took the charge.


CONTINUATION
reached there, eat, take pictures. i have to guide chia haw there too... the few times u hear marcus(of all ppl) giving directions.
Shared some mutton meal with chuin and steal bit of chen's fish since she cant finish. no good to waste food. after finishing our meal, they wanted to go penang swimming club for karaoke....
i didnt know about this part of the plan.... wah.. go there sing sing sing.... thats juz not me.

for the sake of people celebrating Bon Odori in esplanade that day, i refrained myself from causing another tsunami to strike. At the end, me n chiao still had to sing at least 1 song in order to leave. hopped into chia haw's car n head directly to Esplanade even though we were told that it was super jam.

Ended up watching the fireworks in chiao's car.... hahaha... not bad la... fireworks were great. but somehow i felt last time was better. can see that all the cars paused when the fireworks are going on and immediately move once the fireworks was over. chiao wanted to go home after that but i already told joel n the rest that i'll be there... so i WILL be there... opened the door and went running towards the main field.

after a long search, finally bumped into wp n sp and ultimately met up with jl and hm. wah... dunno where to stand after that. hahaha. after that i was somewat glad that i missed the fireworks with them. at that time, i guess i was a character that wasnt meant to be there. hahaha... saw quite a lot of ppl there too.ppl as in schoolmates whom i didnt see for quite a long time. n chan still owe me my photoshop CD.

Had supper at some Sg Pinang hawker stall together with ww and se... a nice place with lots of food. but i was pretty full that time so i juz had a can of 100plus. they talked about their schoollife and kept on highlighting wat happened 20th Nov 18 and a half years ago. (-.-)

slept soundly immediately after reaching home.. i felt that everything was on a rush that day. i dunno y? i still remain slow as usual but still feels like a rush... but it was not a bad day.. I had quite a lot of fun and was happy on how things went even if i was late for everything. couldnt have been a better Saturday.
